Build With Us The Ark
BUILD WITH US — THE ARK
There is so much to discover.
We can read about the Watchers, giants, ancient writings, prophecies, heavenly signs, and mysteries that may have been hidden for thousands of years.
That can be fascinating. It can make us think and perhaps even warn us.
But when the storm comes, knowledge about giants will not save you.
Noah knew that a flood was coming. But knowing alone was not enough.
He built.
Plank by plank, he prepared himself for something that was not yet visible.
Jesus gave a similar warning in the parable of the ten virgins. All ten were waiting for the Bridegroom. All ten had a lamp.
But only five had brought oil with them.
When the cry rang out in the middle of the night — “Behold, the bridegroom is coming!” — the time for preparation was over.
The oil had to be there already.
And Jesus also spoke about two people who built a house. When the rain fell, the floods came, and the winds beat against the house, one of the houses remained standing.
Not because there was no storm.
But because it was built on the rock.
That is the purpose of this place.
We are not going to try to stop the storm.
We are not going to calculate the date when the rain will begin.
And we are not going to pretend that knowledge of every mystery can save us.
We are going to build.
On faith.
On knowledge of God’s Word.
On prayer.
On discernment.
On perseverance.
On a life with Jesus Christ.
As Noah built his Ark.
As the wise virgins kept their lamps ready.
As the wise builder built his house upon the rock.
Not out of fear of what may come.
But because preparation matters.
Because when the waves rise high, you need more than interesting stories.
You need an Ark.
And when that Ark is tossed back and forth by the waves, you need an Anchor that will not let go.
«“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
— Hebrews 6:19»
⚓ That Anchor is Christ.
So put down the research maps for a moment.
Close the case files.
Pick up a plank.
And help build the Ark.
Plank 1
Realization
The Ark didn't begin with wood. The Ark began with realization.
Plank 2
Prepare Yourself
A storm is a bad place to start building a ship.
Plank 3
Why Do You Choose God?
Before we build further, we might need to ask a question that goes even deeper.
Plank 4
Fill Your Vessel
What are you building up spiritually today that you will need when the night gets dark?
Plank 5
When The Storm Comes
What do we do when the storm is actually here?
Plank 6
The Anchor
When everything begins to move, we discover what we are truly anchored to.
Plank 7
Get On Board
Faith does not stay on the dock. You must step on board.
