Your time is precious — stay awake

PLANK 6 — THE ANCHOR

WHEN EVERYTHING MOVES

We have built.

Plank by plank.

We have heard the warning.

We have prepared.

We have asked why we actually choose God.

We have filled our vessel.

And eventually it began to rain.

Now the Ark is moving.

The waves crash against the hull.

The wind pulls at everything that is loose.

And then ultimately one question remains:

What are you holding on to?

Because an Ark without an Anchor can float.

But it is carried away by every current.

Every wind.

Every wave.

And the same can happen spiritually.

When everything is calm, it might seem as if we stand firm.

But when everything begins to move, we discover what we are truly anchored to.

EVERYTHING YOU HOLD ON TO CAN MOVE

Money can disappear.

Health can change.

A job can fall away.

A government can change.

A society can change.

People can disappoint you.

A church can make mistakes.

A pastor can fall.

A theory can turn out to be incorrect.

A prediction can fail to come true.

A Case on this website might, in hindsight, have drawn a connection that wasn't there at all.

Even your own feelings can change.

Today you feel strong.

Tomorrow perhaps not.

If our faith is attached to any of those things, we can be swept away as soon as they move.

That is why we need something that lies outside the storm.

Something that does not depend on our circumstances.

An Anchor.

WE HAVE THIS HOPE

The letter to the Hebrews uses exactly that image:

«“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…”
— Hebrews 6:19»

An anchor does not prevent the waves from coming.

It does not prevent the boat from moving.

It does not still the wind.

But it holds fast.

That is important.

Because sometimes we think that strong faith means we are never afraid.

That we never doubt.

That we never cry.

That we always understand exactly what God is doing.

But perhaps faith sometimes looks very different.

Perhaps the Ark moves violently.

Perhaps you are holding on with both hands.

Perhaps you cry out:

“Lord, I don't understand any of this!”

And yet you stay.

That is also faith.

Not:

I feel nothing.

But:

I am not letting Him go.

Holding on to the Anchor in the storm

BUT WHAT IS OUR ANCHOR?

Not The Triune Gates.

Not The Watchman.

Not The Cases.

Not our knowledge of Enoch.

Not our knowledge of giants.

Not our interpretation of prophecies.

Not a calculation.

Not a heavenly sign.

Not a dream.

Not an experience.

Not a human being.

Not our own preparation.

All those things can be investigated, discussed, and tested.

Some can be valuable.

Some can teach us something.

And some things we might misunderstand.

Therefore, none of those things should ultimately bear the weight of our soul.

Our Anchor is Jesus Christ.

AND IF I DON'T FEEL HIM ANYMORE?

Perhaps a day will come when you pray and feel nothing.

You read the Bible and the words don't seem to enter.

You ask God for an answer and hear only silence.

Does that mean the Anchor is gone?

No.

A sailor usually does not see his anchor precisely when it is doing what it was meant to do.

It lies deep beneath the water.

Out of sight.

But it holds.

What a beautiful image.

You don't always have to see the Anchor to be attached to it.

Your faith ultimately does not rest on how strongly you feel God today.

It rests on Who He is.

So when you feel nothing:

stay.

When you understand nothing:

stay.

When your prayer consists only of:

“Lord, help me…”

stay.

ABIDE IN ME

Jesus Himself used another image that touches the same heart:

«“Abide in me, and I in you.”
— John 15:4»

Note that word:

Abide.

Not:

Solve every mystery.

Not:

Understand every sign.

Not:

Know exactly when everything happens.

Abide in Me.

Perhaps that is ultimately the simplest summary of our entire Ark.

Abide.

When the sun shines.

Abide.

When it rains.

Abide.

When you feel Him.

Abide.

When you do not feel Him.

Abide.

When you understand.

Abide.

When you understand nothing.

Abide in Him.

⚓

AND THEN COMES THE DOOR

Now we must return to Noah.

The Ark was built.

The preparation was over.

Noah, his family, and the animals went inside.

And then there is a small sentence in Genesis that is easily read past:

«“…and the LORD shut him in.”
— Genesis 7:16»

God closed the door.

Noah did not do that.

God did it.

And after that came the flood.

Centuries later, Jesus tells about the ten virgins.

The cry rings out in the middle of the night.

The bridegroom comes.

The wise virgins, who were prepared, go inside with him.

And again we read a short sentence:

«“…and the door was shut.”
— Matthew 25:10»

Read those two images side by side again.

Noah went inside.

The door was shut.

The wise virgins went inside.

The door was shut.

In both stories there was a time of preparation.

And in both stories there came a moment when that time was over.

BEFORE THE DOOR CLOSES

Therefore, this is not a page to frighten you.

Fear is a poor carpenter.

😄🔨

We did not build this Ark to cause people to panic.

We built it to make one simple message clear:

Do not wait to seek God until you think you need Him.

Do not wait for the first drop of rain.

Do not wait for the storm.

Do not wait for the cry in the middle of the night.

Do not wait until your lamp is almost going out.

Seek Him now.

Not because we know that the world will end tomorrow.

We do not know that.

But because none of us owns tomorrow.

And because Jesus Himself taught us:

Watch.

PERHAPS YOU CAME HERE FOR THE GIANTS

Perhaps you ended up on The Triune Gates because you were looking for something about the Watchers.

Or about giants.

Enoch.

Prophecies.

Heavenly signs.

A strange Case.

Perhaps you clicked from one mystery to another and ultimately ended up here.

Then we want to leave you with one thing.

The greatest mystery you can discover on this website is not how tall the giants were.

Not when a certain prophecy will be fulfilled.

Not what pattern might be hidden in the stars.

The most important question is much simpler:

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

Because when the storm comes, knowledge about giants will not save you.

A Case will not hold you fast.

A theory cannot forgive a sin.

A calculation cannot love you.

Christ can.

THE LAST PLANK

We started with Noah.

God spoke.

Noah realized.

Plank 1 — REALIZATION.

He did not wait for the rain.

Plank 2 — PREPARE YOURSELF.

Then we asked why we are actually building.

Plank 3 — WHY DO YOU CHOOSE GOD?

We looked at our lamp and our vessel.

Plank 4 — FILL YOUR VESSEL.

Then the storm began.

Plank 5 — WHEN THE STORM COMES.

And ultimately one thing remained.

⚓ Plank 6 — THE ANCHOR.

Jesus Christ.

THE ARK IS BUILT

🔨

You can put the hammer down now.

Not because your faith is now perfect.

Not because you will never doubt again.

Not because you understand everything.

And certainly not because six pages on a website can save anyone.

But because we have come to the end of what this shipyard wanted to show you.

Realize.

Prepare yourself.

Choose Him for Who He is.

Fill your vessel.

Abide with Him in the storm.

And cast your Anchor.

Perhaps the sea will remain calm.

Perhaps waves will come.

Perhaps we will live in relative peace for many more years.

Perhaps the world will change faster than we think.

We do not know.

But we do not have to.

Because our hope does not lie in knowing the date the rain begins.

Our hope lies in knowing the One Who is with us when it falls.

THE DOOR IS STILL OPEN

And that is why we do not end with the closed door.

We end with today.

Today you can pray.

Today you can open His Word.

Today you can come back.

Today you can forgive.

Today you can start anew.

Today you can say:

“Lord Jesus, I do not know all the answers.
I do not know what tomorrow brings.
But I want to belong to You.
Teach me to know You.
Teach me to love You.
Teach me to follow You.
And whatever comes — let me abide with You.”

That prayer does not need beautiful words.

Only an honest heart.

Because perhaps the most important question is ultimately not:

When is the flood coming?

But:

Where are you when it comes?

Noah built before the rain.

The wise virgins filled their vessels before the cry.

And you are alive today.

The door is still open.

🙏🏻

So if you want to strike one more blow with the hammer...

then give it now.

🔨⚓

Do not build out of fear of the storm.

Build because you love Him.

And when ultimately everything around you moves:

hold on to the Anchor.

JESUS CHRIST.
