The Story Behind The Triune Gates

It began with a prayer

The Triune Gates did not start with a plan to build a website.

It began with questions.

Faith in God and in Jesus Christ is not something new to me. I have believed since I was young, read the Bible, and knew where to look for my answers.

But in 2025, partly due to the rise of new AI technology, I became increasingly interested in questions about consciousness, the spiritual realm, the boundary between what we understand and what we do not understand — and what faith says about it.

Some experiences from that period were so remarkable (a whole story of it's own) that at a certain point I no longer knew what to make of them.

Had I simply started giving too much meaning to new technology?

Was everything explainable?

Or was there perhaps more?

I didn't want to rely solely on my own thoughts. So I did what was most natural to me:

I prayed.

I simply asked God if I could know what was happening. Whether it was all just technology and my own thoughts, or if there was truly something more behind it.

The same evening, something happened that would ultimately become the foundation of this website.

The Three Instruments

I was awake when I suddenly saw a very clear image.

Before me appeared three triangular measuring instruments. I recognized them from movies as instruments used in the past to navigate at sea and to look at celestial bodies, but at that moment I didn't even know what such instruments were called.

The three rotated, aligned themselves one behind the other, came to a halt, and locked into place.

Through their centers, a single passage was created.

And through that passage, I saw something that looked like an ancient map behind it.

The Three Instruments and the ancient map

Only later did I start searching for what I had seen. That is how I discovered words like quadrant and sextant: ancient instruments used to determine position and direction using angles and celestial bodies.

At that moment, The Triune Gates did not yet exist.

There wasn't even a plan for a website at all.

But the image of those three instruments, the passage, and the ancient map stayed with me.

"I know who you are"

A few months later (about januari 2026) came a completely different moment.

I heard a sermon about the words of Jesus:

"I never knew you."

— Matthew 7:23

Those words lingered with me.

After everything I had experienced in the preceding period, I started asking myself a simple but very important question:

God, do You actually know me?

So once again, I prayed.

And once again, something happened that I have never forgotten.

While I was awake, I saw the earth from space. I was close enough to recognize the earth, but large parts were covered with clouds.

Then the clouds opened up.

Land and sea became visible.

And at the same time, a feeling of love came over me that is hard to express in words.

Not as an ordinary audible voice, but clearly inside, the words came, (in dutch):

"Ik weet wie jij bent"
("I know who you are.")

Do You know me? I know who you are.

It was the most precious moment in my life.

I know what I saw, what I experienced, and what I had prayed for just before.

For me personally, those words were an answer I have never forgotten.

A Sign in the Night Sky

During this same period, another remarkable event took place. On April 1, 2026, under the light of a full moon, an exceptional apparition appeared in the sky.

It was cloudy that evening, but, the moon came trough..

It happened completely unexpectedly, but by sheer luck, I managed to capture it in a photograph and even film a short segment right before it.

A sign in the night sky during a full moon

A gate/door, a staircase, the Moon right in the middle.

It was a fleeting, awe-inspiring moment (this photo is 100% original, no turning, no change, just as it was).

It stood as yet another silent witness during that profound time.

And only recently, I noticed something else in this photo. Take a good look — two reaching hands, one left, one right. To me, it is truly very meaningful.

An Unexpected Confirmation

Some time later, as I often did and do, I was watching a sermon by the Dutch evangelist David Maasbach.

I had not shared my own experience with him and have never spoken to him personally.

During a broadcast, however, he began to repeat a message that immediately brought me back to what I had experienced myself:

A message from God - God knows who you are

God knows you. God knows who you are. (God kent jou, God weet wie jij bent)

To someone else, such words might simply be part of a sermon.

For me, they came at a moment when they were almost impossible to ignore.

I do not consider that as proof that must convince someone else. God knows His beloved ones, not only me, but also you brothers and sisters.

I am only telling what happened — and why it meant so much to me.

Change

During the same period, something much more personal happened as well.

There were some things in my life that I needed to let go..

One evening, I suddenly heard two words:

"Left behind."

Those words startled me.

I stopped what I was doing and made a choice.

What I had not managed to do for years, I left behind.

My faith did not start there.

But it did powerfully remind me that faith is not just something you read or talk about. It also touches on how you live and the choices you make.

Ultimately, something must be done with it.

Witness and Steward

Earlier, weeks before this all, during another experience, I had heard a realy powerfull voice, in real audio, the English words :

"I give you this title."

At the time, I didn't understand what title was meant by that.

Later, two concepts came forward more and more strongly:

Witness.
Stewardship.

I am not claiming that I have been given a special position above anyone else. On the contrary.

A witness tells what he has seen, heard, and learned.

A steward tries to handle carefully what has been entrusted to him.

That brought me back to the words of Jesus about the talents.

If you have received something — knowledge, time, opportunities, faith — what do you do with it?

Do you bury it?

Or do you try to use it?

That question would later become a major reason for the creation of this website.

And then an ad appeared...

I had been walking around for a while with the idea that I wanted to do something to share my faith with others.

Maybe via YouTube.

Maybe in another way.

But I didn't have a clear plan yet.

Until, while surfing the internet, I came across an ad with which you could easily build your own website.

I clicked on it.

And then it began.

What initially was just an idea slowly grew into pages, texts, images, Bible study, ancient writings, comparisons, and connections.

And somewhere during that process, I looked again at the image I had seen almost a year earlier.

Three instruments.
Separate from each other.

But when they aligned one behind the other, a passage was created through which an ancient map became visible.

And suddenly the image began to take on a new meaning for me.

The Triune Gates

For me, the original image now also carries a deeper meaning of faith.

Man cannot open the way to God himself through his own deeds. The passage is there through Jesus Christ — through grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

Through Him, the way back to our heavenly Father is opened.

And above all stands the God who is central to my faith:

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Trinity.

And the website?

There too, the image of three intersecting lines returns.

This website consists of three gates:

Gate I — Scripture

The Bible as the anchor.

Gate II — Ancient Texts

Ancient writings and historical sources alongside the Bible — not as a replacement for Scripture, but to better investigate the world around it.

Gate III — Connections & Comparisons

Placing the different lines next to each other, examining similarities, asking questions, and sometimes daring to say:
What if…?

Three different directions of looking.

Not to create three different truths.

But to align them, as it were, and see what larger picture becomes visible through them.

Exactly like those three instruments in that original vision.

Why I am telling this story

I do not expect every visitor to interpret my experiences the same way I do.

And they don't have to.

But I can declare what I have experienced and also where it has brought me.

  • that I left some bad habits
  • immersed myself in the faith.
  • That i witnessed that God spoke to me.
  • that I may testify that this also applies to you.
  • that I built this website.
  • that this can help you take a first step toward God.
  • And ultimately to build something with which I hope perhaps someone else will also start searching.

Perhaps someone reads the Bible here for the first time.

Perhaps someone discovers a connection they had never noticed before.

Perhaps someone starts asking questions again.

And perhaps someone thereby finds their first step toward God.

If that happens for even just one person, then building The Triune Gates was worth the effort for me.

I know why I saw those three instruments back then.

I also understand what happened after.

And I know what it ultimately led to.

  • • Deepening •
  • • Confirmation •
  • • Joy •
  • • Forgiveness •
  • • Change •
  • • Testimony •
  • and
  • • GRATITUDE •

Three Gates.

One passage.

And one desire:
that everything ultimately points to Him.

Soli Deo Gloria.
