Your time is precious — stay awake

PLANK 4 — FILL YOUR VESSEL

IT IS THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

Imagine the moment.

It is dark.

You are tired.

The wait has lasted longer than expected.

And then, in the middle of the night, suddenly the cry rings out:

«“Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!”
— Matthew 25:6»

No warning a week in advance.

No final reminder.

The cry rings out.

Ten virgins arise.

Ten lamps are picked up.

But then what remained hidden before becomes visible.

Five were prepared.

Five were not.

Until that moment, they all stood in the same place.

They were all waiting for the same bridegroom.

They all carried a lamp.

But when the night truly became dark, a difference was revealed:

what had they brought with them?

WHAT IS IN YOUR VESSEL?

There are various interpretations about the precise symbolism of the oil.

But Jesus Himself leaves no doubt about the warning of the parable:

«“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour…”
— Matthew 25:13»

Therefore, we use the vessel here as a simple question to ourselves:

What am I building up spiritually today that I will need when the night gets dark?

Because some things cannot be borrowed at the last minute.

You cannot live for years on someone else's faith and expect it to suddenly become your faith when the storm breaks.

You cannot live on the prayers of your parents.

Not on the faith of your husband or wife.

Not on the conviction of your pastor.

And neither on what you have read on this website.

At a certain point, the question becomes personal:

Do you know Him?

Filling the vessel

FILL YOUR VESSEL WITH THE WORD

When everything is calm, truth sometimes seems self-evident.

But what happens when dozens of voices simultaneously shout something else?

When fear controls your thoughts?

When something sounds convincing but isn't right?

Then you need something to test it against.

«“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
— Psalm 119:105»

Therefore, do not read the Bible solely to gather information.

Learn to know God's voice through His Word.

Keep His words.

Think about them.

Take them with you.

For perhaps a night will come when one Bible verse that truly lives in your heart is more valuable than a hundred theories you have ever researched.

📖 Fill your vessel.

LEARN TO PRAY BEFORE YOU ARE AFRAID

Do not wait until everything collapses before you truly speak with God for the first time.

Pray today.

Not just with beautiful words.

Talk with Him.

Thank Him.

Tell Him what you are afraid of.

Tell Him when you doubt.

Ask for wisdom.

Ask for strength.

Ask for forgiveness.

And sometimes just be still before Him.

Jesus regularly withdrew to pray.

If He made prayer so important, how much more do we need it?

Prayer is not an emergency button that only hangs behind glass for when the sirens go off.

It is fellowship with God.

🙏🏻 Fill your vessel.

LEARN TO TRUST WHILE THE SEA IS STILL CALM

Everyone can say:

“I trust in God.”

But trust becomes visible when you do not know how something will turn out.

Look again at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

God could save them.

They believed that.

But their trust did not depend on the outcome.

“But if not…”

They still chose Him.

That kind of trust doesn't just emerge when the furnace door opens.

It is formed beforehand.

In small choices.

In disappointments.

In prayers where the answer came differently than expected.

In moments when you had to say:

“Lord, I do not understand. But I trust You.”

⚓ Fill your vessel.

FILL IT WITH LOVE

Here we must be careful.

Because preparation can easily become only about yourself.

Am I ready?

Am I safe?

Can I weather the storm?

But Jesus teaches us precisely to love our neighbor.

So if our preparation leads to us only being concerned with saving ourselves, we have missed something important.

Look around you.

Who needs help?

Who is alone?

Who needs forgiveness?

With whom do you need to make things right?

Who hasn't heard from you in a long time?

Who might not need your theory about the end times...

but just your arm around their shoulder?

«“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
— John 13:35»

❤️ Fill your vessel.

FILL IT WITH FORGIVENESS

Perhaps there is something in your life that gets heavier the longer you carry it.

Resentment.

Anger.

An old quarrel.

Something someone has done to you.

Forgiveness does not mean that evil suddenly becomes good.

It also does not mean that boundaries disappear or that justice is not important.

But Jesus did teach us to forgive.

Why would we build an Ark and meanwhile gather stones to throw at each other?

Put them down.

Where reconciliation is possible and wise, seek it.

Ask for forgiveness yourself when you are the one who acted wrongly.

Do not take unnecessary ballast with you into the storm.

🤝🏻 Fill your vessel.

LEARN TO DISCERN

And this plank perhaps belongs especially on The Triune Gates.

Here we investigate strange things.

Ancient writings.

Watchers.

Giants.

Prophecies.

Signs.

Possible patterns.

And in The Cases we sometimes even dare to go quite far with:

“What if…?”

That is allowed.

Investigating is allowed.

Asking questions is allowed.

But precisely for that reason there must be a boundary marker somewhere:

«“Test everything; hold fast what is good.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:21»

And:

«“Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”
— 1 John 4:1»

Not every impressive thought is truth.

Not every pattern is a sign.

Not every prediction comes from God.

Not every ancient text has the same authority as Scripture.

Not every voice speaking about Jesus speaks on behalf of Jesus.

Test.

And when a fascinating theory clashes with Christ and His Word:

let go of the theory.

Not Christ.

🔥 Fill your vessel.

YOU CANNOT TAKE EVERYTHING WITH YOU

Suppose we actually had to pack a bag for a storm.

What would you take?

You would probably quickly discover that you cannot carry your entire house.

You must choose what truly has value.

Spiritually, the same applies.

You can gather thousands of facts.

You can know every Case.

You can memorize all possible end-time scenarios.

But when night falls, you might have absolutely no use for the fact that you once knew how tall a giant was according to an ancient text. 😄

Then you need something else.

Truth when you are being deceived.

Faith when you are afraid.

Prayer when you see no way out.

Love when the world turns hard.

Forgiveness when hatred seems easier.

Discernment when lie and truth intertwine.

Hope when all seems lost.

And above all:

Christ.

AND IF YOUR VESSEL IS STILL ALMOST EMPTY?

Then this is not a condemnation.

Look at your vessel.

Maybe you think:

I hardly know the Bible.

Begin today.

I cannot pray beautifully at all.

God is not asking for a performance.

Talk with Him.

My faith is small.

Bring Him that small faith.

I have so many questions.

Ask them.

I have made mistakes.

Come back.

You do not have to wait until you consider yourself good enough to go to God.

Go to Him as you are — and start building.

Today one plank.

Today one prayer.

Today one chapter.

Today one step of obedience.

Today one act of love.

And tomorrow again.

THE FOURTH PLANK

Plank 1 said:

REALIZATION.

Plank 2 said:

PREPARE YOURSELF.

Plank 3 asked:

WHY DO YOU CHOOSE GOD?

And now we come to Plank 4:

🪔 FILL YOUR VESSEL.

Not with fear.

Not with endless predictions.

Not with the illusion that you must understand every mystery.

Fill it with what you truly need when night falls.

God's Word.

Prayer.

Faith.

Love.

Forgiveness.

Discernment.

Hope.

And let everything constantly lead you back to the One for Whom we are building this Ark in the first place:

Jesus Christ.

Because when the cry rings out in the middle of the night, it is too late to do yesterday over again.

So as long as it is still day:

📖 read.

🙏🏻 pray.

❤️ love.

🔥 test.

⚓ trust.

🪔 And fill your vessel.

Building The Ark
